Nostradamus did not predict the future or some people trying to profit?

"Nostradamus 2012" was on the History channel. I saw the whole program, But some people believe that drawings of Nostradamus predict future events. His drawings could be interpreted as meaning anything. Some people think that predicts future events, but many websites say that some people are trying to profit. Personally, I think some people want to profit and there are people out there who wants to think that the world will end. Did Nostradamus predict future events or some people trying to profit?

I believe that had the ability to predict future events, but I've heard that intentionally wrote his predictions in cryptic form so that others would not be able to interpret it. This was to keep the chaos to occur. Anyone who says that his predictions have come true or are they saying that they know what they mean, are far reaching. They have no knowledge of it than you or I.
